"...I hate you," the Proprietor told Eleven and Amy. "You know that, don't you?"

"Well, /this/ is a new one," Eleven said, with a certain amusement. "What did I do to get /you/ mad?"

"/You/ showed Vincent Van Gogh the future," the Proprietor said. "You showed him he becomes one of the most respected artists of all time. You showed him his paintings go for obscene prices."

"What's wrong with that?" Amy said.

"It means," the Proprietor said through gritted teeth, "that he's not going to pay with one of his paintings, because now he knows how much they're worth. Do you know what I could have got for an original Van Gogh? Do you?"

"Think I do." a horribly familiar voice said from behind him. "And I'll thank you not to give lip to my friends, otherwise I'll buy this place from right under you."

"...M. Van Gogh!" the Proprietor smarmed. "We were just-"

"I know what you were 'just'," Vincent Van Gogh mimicked. "Now get me some wine. The *good* stuff, thank you very much."

The Proprietor stomped off, grumbling.

"And no pissing in the bottle, either!"

Sandra and Francois caught the Proprietor's mortified expression on their mobile phones for posterity, as did a number of the 'Round's patrons.

"A man could get used to this," Vincent said as he took a seat beside Eleven and Amy. "But I don't think /I/ will."

Eleven grinned. "Wouldn't have it any other way, Vincent. Wouldn't have it any other way."
