Notting Acquaintances

The elderly human slammed back her bourbon. "I'm drowning in New Adventures continuity."
The Time Lady laughed. "All I got in my drabble were... Ooh, it's that dishy number twelve!" She raced across the pub and wrapped her arms around the startled Doctor. "Kiss me, baby!"
The Doctor ducked and wriggled free. "Zodin, you must stop doing that."
"Why?"
"It'd just never work. I mean, I'm good; you're, well, evil."
"I'm also just a girl," Zodin said, "standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her."
At the bar, the other Zodin chuckled. "Myself, I always preferred Cary."
